REQUIREMENTS
:
Grade 12 with Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government notice R425 (i.e.,
Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with South African Nursing
Council as a Professional Nurse. Evidence of current registration with SANC. A minimum of 7
years appropriate/recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse
with SANC in General Nursing. Experience working in a community outreach setting will be an
added advantage. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license is essential. Good
communication, presentation and report writing skills. Knowledge and application of Batho Pele
Principle. Good organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in a team
and under pressure. Flexibility and good interpersonal relationship with colleagues and
stakeholders.
DUTIES
:
Provide leadership to ward based community outreach teams at sub district level. Training
community health workers and outreach team leaders. Supervise and guide outreach team
leaders. Stakeholder consultation, liaising with facility managers, programme managers and sub
district managers. Collating monthly statistics and do sub district reports. Monitoring and
evaluation of team’s activities. Order and allocate working resources as per the programmes
need. Perform any function as delegated by the supervisor.
